Erik Rosales is a familiar face here in the Valley for the past 18 years. Prior to joining KMPH FOX 26, Erik was the South Bay reporter for KGO-TV ABC 7 News, in San Francisco, and before that he was an anchor at another television station in the Fresno area.
Erik is an award-winning journalist with more than 20 years of reporting, and anchoring television news. In 2003, Erik was honored with an Emmy Award for his live coverage of an officer-involved shooting here in Fresno. He’s also received several Radio and Television News Director Association awards, as well as a number of Associated Press awards.
Currently, Erik is involved in several activities through his church, People’s Church in Northwest Fresno. He also leads a bible study and serves in a number of non-profit organizations.
Erik also is involved with community activities and has received recognition for outstanding media involvement from several organizations. During his first stint in Fresno, Erik volunteered his time with the Fresno Police Activities League, and also sat on several boards.
Originally from the San Gabriel Valley, Erik graduated from Azusa Pacific University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. While at Azusa Pacific University he met his wife, Stacey.
Erik enjoys playing baseball in his spare time with the National Adult Baseball Association in Fresno. He played the game in college at Point Loma Nazarene College in San Diego, where he and his team placed third in the nation at the NAIA College World Series.
