Mentor Match is a program built around connection, learning, and care for the people who make television. It brings together professionals who want feedback, guidance, and perspective with experienced peers who are willing to share what they’ve learned.
At its core, Mentor Match is about one person helping another move forward.
Mentoring is a chance to give back to the industry that shaped you. It’s an opportunity to listen, offer perspective, share experience, and help someone grow. Many mentors find the experience just as meaningful as the guidance they give.
As a mentee, you’ll be matched with an experienced professional who can:
For many participants, Mentor Match becomes a turning point in their professional journey.
Once applications are reviewed, mentors and mentees are paired based on shared interests, goals, and availability. We help make the initial introduction, and from there the relationship is shaped by the two people involved.
Mentor Match is a six-month commitment. Mentors and mentees agree together on meeting times and format, whether by email, phone, Zoom, or in person. We ask that participants connect at least once a month in whatever way works best for both.
Mentors are professionals in the television industry who are respected for their work and experience. This includes photographers, writers, producers, on camera talent, and professionals working in sales, accounting, or management.
If you’ve built a career and are open to sharing what you’ve learned, you may be a great fit.
Yes. Mentors may indicate whether they prefer to work with students, working professionals, or either. Mentor Match is designed to be flexible and respectful of everyone’s time and interests.
Participants are matched based on areas of interest, goals, and mentor availability. Questionnaire responses help us make thoughtful matches that feel aligned and supportive.

We’d love to have you.
To participate, please complete the appropriate Mentor Match questionnaire. Once submitted, you’ll be considered for upcoming matches.
The 2026 questionnaire will be available soon.
