KRCB Offers to Help Filmmakers Go National

By Patty Zubov

Are you thinking about distributing your programming nationally to Public Television stations? Where do you start? What are the rules? What are the costs? What are the rewards?

“As an important part of our mission as a public television station, KRCB encourages local, independent filmmakers to bring their work to a national television audience,” says Stan Marvin, National Program Distribution for KRCB. “To that end, we hope to hear from NATAS members who, with us as their co-production partner, have that interest and can raise the additional funding to do so.”

KRCB Public Television in the San Francisco Bay Area is a PBS Member station with a track record of successful national presentations of independent films.  Recent KRCB national Public Television releases include:
WEST OF THE WEST: TALES FROM CALIFORNIA’S CHANNEL ISLANDS (3 60-minute episodes)
JOB CENTERED LEARNING (60)
PENNY: CHAMPION OF THE MARGINALIZED (30)
ROBERT BLY: A THOUSAND YEARS OF JOY (60)
WAI LANA YOGA II (26 30-minute episodes)
NATURAL HEROES Series 1-7 (Multiple Emmy® award-winner)
