Troy Espera is the Head of North America News Production at ABS-CBN International where he manages a multi-platform news operation serving Filipinos across the continent. He has led the charge into new markets, creating The Filipino Channel’s community building program for college students, TFCU, and a digital brand called TAYO News.
Troy’s work has been recognized with multiple Emmy Awards and the National Journalism Award for Broadcast from the Asian American Journalists Association. In 2018, he was a newsroom management fellow at the Maynard Institute for Journalism Education. He hopes to one day teach journalism at a college or university.
