  • You will need your ticket QR code to get in the door. It was in your ticket confirmation email.
  • If someone else purchased your seat, please ask them for the QR code/ticket confirmation email.

NOMINEES, REVIEW THE EMMY SPEECH GUIDELINES:

  • Don’t be caught off guard on stage!
  • Choose your designated speaker. Make sure they practice their 30-second on-stage speech (the mic turns off at 30 seconds).
  • Everyone on the entry should prepare their red-carpet speech (to share via social media).

2025 NORCAL EMMY® GALA WEEKEND EVENT DETAILS:

TASTE OF THE CAPITAL MEDIA MIXER
FRIDAY, JUNE 13th, 5-10 PM
California State Capitol / K Street Corridor

Join journalists from across the region for a Friday night media mixer along the K Street Corridor.

This is a no-host, no-ticket event. Working late? Stuck in traffic? No problem, Meet up with us along the way! 

 

We’ll begin at 5 pm with a quick tour of the State Capitol for our out-of-town members. Please arrive by 4:45 and meet at the 11th street North Security Entrance (to the right of the building if your looking at the West Steps).

When the Capitol closes at 6pm, we’ll take the short walk to Mayahuel  (K and 12th Streets) for drinks and Mexican food. Reminder this is a no-host event. We’re working on discounts but everyone will order on their own. 

Around 7:30 we’ll start making our way down K. Street to Dive Bar (1016 K. Street) for cocktails and socializing (and maybe even a mermaid sighting!).

Then, we’ll finish off our Media Mixer with fun and games and the Coin-Op Game Room bar-cade (908 K. Street). 

CALIFORNIA CORRESPONDENTS’ RECEPTION
SATURDAY, JUNE 14th, 4-6 PM
SAFE Credit Union Convention Center 

NATAS is partnering with the Capital Correspondents Association, the Sacramento Press Club, the San Francisco Press Club, NorCal SPJ, RTDNA, NABJ, AAJA, NAHJ, PRSA and a growing list of journalism organizations to host the inaugural California Correspondents’ Reception before this year’s Emmy® Awards Dinner presentation!

The black-tie reception will bring together journalists, dignitaries, elected officials, Capitol staffers, and prominent communications professionals for a first-of-its-kind networking event.

In addition to meeting new people, swapping story ideas, and reconnecting with old friends, attendees will enjoy wine and beer tastings from a cultivated selection of local wineries and breweries.

Your purchase of an Emmy Gala Ticket or Table includes VIP entrance to the California Correspondents’ Reception.

However, those who do not plan to attend the The Emmy® Awards Dinner Presentation & Emmy Gala® Afterparty, may purchase an a la carte reception ticket HERE.

The Emmy® Awards Dinner Presentation honors the best in local media with the prestigious Emmy® Award. The NorCal/San Francisco NATAS chapter includes every English and Spanish-language station in seven of California’s largest television markets, as well as in Hawaii and Nevada. 

The NorCal Emmy® Awards also honor award-winning video journalism produced by traditional print and digital news organizations in addition to non-profit, governmental agencies and higher education institutions. 

As attendees are honoring peers and watching award-winning work, they will enjoy a four-course meal complete with award-winning local wines from Bogle and Silt wineries. 

THE EMMY® GALA AFTERPARTY
SATURDAY, JUNE 14th, 10 PM-1 AM
SAFE Credit Union Convention Center 

After an evening of awards and networking, dance the night away or just sit and chat with old and new friends.

We’ll keep the bars open until 1 am, complete with a DJ, dancing, late-night sliders, and desserts to keep the party going. 

EMMY® GALA (FATHER’S DAY) BRUNCH
SUNDAY, JUNE 15th 9-11 AM
Hyatt Regency Sacramento 

Whether you’re checking out of your hotel after an incredible weekend or just want a breathtaking view for your Father’s Day breakfast, join us for Sunday brunch! 

We’ve booked the Hyatt Regency’s 15th-floor Capitol View Banquet Room for our members and guests to end a spectacular weekend with a spectacular view (and meal).

Stop by at your leisure any time between 9 and 11 am. Before you head home, snap a few last-minute selfies (with your Emmy statuette) from the balcony overlooking the California State Capitol Rotunda. 

Sunday brunch seating is limited to the first 120 reservations so you must book book your SUNDAY BRUNCH RESERVATION HERE.

EMMY GALA HOTEL

This year’s Emmy Gala signature hotel is the Hyatt Regency Sacramento. It is conveniently located just steps from the Sacramento Convention Center, where the Emmy Gala will be held. It is also just steps from the K-Street Mall, where we will be hosting our Friday Media Mixer, and across the street from the historic California State Capitol.

  • The discounted NATAS room rate is $179/night plus tax.
  • This rate is available until May 23, 2025, or until the block is full (whichever occurs first).
