Reporter Orko Manna Announces Departure From KCRA-TV

Orko Manna started at KCRA-TV in Sacramento as a general assignment reporter in November 2021.

Manna started as an evening reporter and made the transition to a dayside role and fill-in weekend anchor.

Now, after a three-year run, he’s decided to move on to his next adventure.

It’s believed Manna may now be heading to the Houston market.

According to his bio on the station’s website, before moving to Sacramento, Orko worked in Las Vegas, Nevada. He led his station’s coverage of the 2020 presidential election, where he interviewed all the major contenders — including three interviews with now-President Joe Biden. Also during his time in Las Vegas, Orko won an Emmy Award for his work covering anti-Asian hate amid the COVID-19 pandemic. He was sent to Ridgecrest, California in 2019 to cover the devastating earthquakes there and did live reports for stations across the West Coast. He also filled in on the anchor desk during the weekends.
