Members will continue to get it delivered by email every month as a member benefit, but full articles now will be viewable on the website.

GABBERT DESTINED FOR GOLD CIRCLE INDUCTION
Blangiardi, Gaughran, Jones, Mendonsa, Ramirez, Sanders To Receive Silver Circle Honors
James Gabbert, the 1990 Silver Circle inductee who made an indelible mark on the Bay Area television industry for more than a half century, most notably as the one-time owner of KOFY-TV, will be inducted into the Gold Circle at an induction luncheon to be held Saturday, Oct. 14 in San Francisco.

FIVE GRADUATES & UNDERGRADUATES TO RECEIVE SCHOLARSHIPS
October 14 at the Gold & Silver Circle Luncheon Ceremony
Five talented graduate and undergraduate students will receive scholarship checks for a total of $12,000.

BAY AREA STATIONS SEND CREWS TO COVER HURRICANES
The coverage of recent natural disasters, such as Hurricanes Harvey and Irma and now a magnitude-8 earthquake in Mexico, is getting major air time on every television station in the nation. And, while stations continue to rely on their networks to provide them with feeds and live shots from the locations of these disasters, many in major markets like the Bay Area are sending their own news crews to cover the story.

KRON EXPANDS PRIMETIME NEWSCAST
Three-Hour News Block Added
San Francisco’s KRON has expanded its primetime local news programming, now airing a three-hour news block from 8 to 11 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Many screenings are previews of first-run movies, and include “Q&A” sessions with the director, producer and/or cast members of the film.
